Since I didn’t have a favorites post up for April, I decided to combine April and May. I didn’t’ take any pictures because it would be a lot in one photo, so I’m just going to write them out.
Smashbox Photofinish Pore Minimizing Primer
Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Aging Perfector
Maybelline FitMe Concealer
Lancôme Definicils Lengthening and Defining Mascara
Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel
Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss (1993)
Michael Todd Beauty Soniclear Cleansing Brush
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II
Hopefully, I’ll have a review up of the Estee Lauder serum up soon. I’ve been using it for well over a month now and I have some thoughts about it.
Thanks for stopping by!
This past weekend I went to the Farmer’s Market with my sister and her friend. I know I didn’t want to wear a full face of makeup because it was going to be hot! Every time it rains, heat soon follows. All I did was put on my brows and some lip gloss. I did my brows at 7 AM using my Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown and they lasted a full 12 hours.
Around 7 PM
If you look closely, my eyes are red; it was a very long day full of heat and a lot of walking lol. But all in all I’m very happy with the way my brows turned out! ABH Brow Wiz has my whole heart!!!
I’ve been holding on to this makeup for some time now. I literally purchased most of this stuff back in April, I’ve just been a busy to make a post. But today I’m finally able to make time.
Makeup Revolution Reloaded Palette
ColourPop x Shayla Collaboration
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Mini (Medium Deep)
Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss (1993)
I’ve never tried any Makeup Revolution makeup and I was really excited to try this out, but I have yet to do so because I’ve been busy lol. I love ColourPop makeup and when they decided to collaborate with MakeupShayla I was super excited. I didn’t purchase everything from the collection. I got both highlighters and the lip gloss. They are super stunning. And lastly, the translucent powder in medium deep from Laura Mercier, haven’t tried it yet, but it looks promising. The Urban Decay lip gloss in 1993 is the perfect nude. It’s described as a medium brown and I love it.
So yea, I still have some items that I need to test out. And hopefully this week I’ll be able too!
Since I’m getting back into makeup, I decided to do a FOTD two days in a row! Today I wanted to test out another Neutrogena foundation. I picked up the SkinClearing Complexion Perfector in the shade Deep 50.
The Neutrogena SkinClearing Complexion Perfector provides beautiful coverage for acne-prone skin, while the acne-fighting formula with MicroClear technology actively clears breakouts.
– Fights acne and provides even coverage to help correct skin’s complexion
– Blends naturally with your skin to instantly blur the look of acne and minimize appearance of pores.
– Matte finish controls shine
– Won’t clog pores, hypoallergenic
– Dermatologist tested
I would have to say that this “foundation” blended out nicely. It also has salicylic acid in it to help with breakouts. This also has sheer coverage, but buildable. The reason why I put the word foundation in quotes is because like the Healthy Skin Anti-Aging Perfector, it feels like a bb cream and blends out like one too. This is a good drug store “foundation” if you’re looking for sheer, even coverage. All in all, I would buy this again. But I do prefer the Healthy Skin Anti-Aging Perfector over this one. It has a pump and it’s moisturizing.
Thanks for stopping by.
This past weekend I went to Walmart and decided to try Neutrogena makeup. I wanted something that I’ve never tried before. I usually go for their skincare. I picked up the Healthy Skin Anti-Aging Perfector in the shade Medium to Deep 60.
The Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Aging Perfector combines retinol, SPF 20, moisturizer and blendable, sheer coverage to give you beautiful, younger-looking skin – even after you take it off.
- Instantly erases the look of imperfections
- Smooths out skin’s texture and reduces the appearance of fine lines
- Gives skin a natural, dewy finish
- Dermatologist tested
This foundation reads like a bb cream to me and it also sheered out like one too. This is buildable and does give nice coverage. I also like the fact that it has a pump. I will wear this again. It’s a nice drugstore foundation. But I still think it’s a bb cream lol.
Today I wanted to share with you my recent empties. Its not a lot but I’m always proud of when I can use a product up before moving on to the next one.
I have a couple of face masks. I also used up my Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm, Korres Greek Yoghurt Cleanser, Fresh Rose Face Mask, Bite Agave Lip Balm, and Jack Black Lip Balm.
The only item that I’ve repurchased was the Jack Black Lip Balm. I have plenty of sheet masks that I need to get through before I buy anymore. I also have a cleansing oil and some samples of cleansers that I want to use before I purchase any full size items.
These are all my recent empties, and I hope to bring more in the coming months.
I’ve been meaning to post these looks, but life got away from me! In the first look, I used the ColourPop Take Me Home palette.
The second look, I used my MAC Saddle eyeshadow in the crease and Anastasia Beverly Hills Henna eyeshadow on the lid.
I actually prefer the second look over all, it’s my kind of eye look. I really love neutral shades. Plus I could have blended the first look a little better.
Next week, I’ll be able to shop the Sephora VIB sale. And since the sale starts the exact weekend of my birthday, I figured I’d show you guys what I plan on picking up!
ABH Sienna Eyeshadow single
ABH Brow Wiz (dark brown)
Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick (deep thoughts)
Cinema Secrets Brush Cleaner
This is literally all I plan on getting next week from the sale. Usually, I would purchase some skincare items, but I think I’m fully stocked up o my skincare for a while. I’m going through this phase of trying to use up all my products before purchasing anything.
So what do you plan to get?
I’ve really been focusing on my skin as usual, so this month I didn’t have that many products.
Boscia Self-Defense Vital Antioxidant Moisture SPF 30
Nair Face Cream
Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate (deluxe sample)
ColourPop x Karrueche Ultra Glossy Lip (Contessa). I’ve been wearing this everyday since I got it. Just a simple lip gloss. Love it.
ABH Brow Wiz (Dark Brown). I’ve been using this everyday as well even when I’m not wearing makeup.
Batiste Dry Shampoo (Tropical). So since Walmart has started selling sample sizes of certain products, I’ve been able to sort of try before I buy. When I don’t feel like washing my hair, I just spray this in certain sections, massage it in, comb my hair and put it in a pony tail. It smells good and doesn’t leave any white residue behind.
This was just about everything that I loved this month. Thanks for stopping by!
This is my first ColourPop purchase. I’ve really been hesitant to purchase from them because of the shipping. But I decided to take the chance because I really wanted to try some lip glosses. My intention was to only purchase lip gloss, but I got an eyeshadow palette as well.
I got the Take Me Home eyeshadow palette and these two lip glosses. I got the Karrueche lip gloss in Contessa and the Ellarie lip gloss in Netta.
This palette comes with 6 eyeshadows, 3 matte and 3 shimmer. This is right up my ally, because it’s a very warm “neutral” palette. It blends like a dream and I had no fall out.
Left: Karrueche Contessa. It’s described as a warm gold sprinkled with pink and gold glitter.
Right: Ellarie Netta. It’s described as a mid-tone pinky beige.
These are both ultra glossy lip glosses. All in all I’m happy with these items. I do plan on purchasing more from ColourPop. They have this new palette that I want and a couple more lip glosses that I would like to try out.
