Look Of The Day (3/16/20)

Today’s look wasn’t really inspired by much. This week will mark the 4th anniversary of my father’s passing and times like this, I get in a funk. So in order for me to get out of it, I decided to turn the music on and paint my face!

I used my BH Cosmetics x ItsMyRayeRaye palette to create this pink look. I’ve also been loving these ColourPop Lux lip glosses. I just line my lips with my MAC Cork lip liner and then apply the gloss.

Hopefully by the end of the week I’ll feel a little better, but for now I’m kind of in a blah mood. But makeup and skincare are my happy place and for today, this made me happy.

Thanks for stopping by.

So here’s another empties post. I’ve been “collecting” all this stuff and I can’t wait to throw it out and start again!

Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer

I received this product complimentary from Influenster back in February. This is the Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer. I received the shade 4N which is described as a Neutral – light medium to medium skin with neutral undertones. I chose this shade to do some highlighting under my eyes and around my face since I only use my skin tone shade for this.

I really like how this looks under my eyes. This makes my eyes look airbrushed and brighter. Ever since I got this, I’ve been using it when I do my makeup. This doe-foot applicator is pretty big too.

Sephora’s Website:

What it is: A 24-hour-wear, multi-purpose, full-coverage, creamy concealer that corrects and hides under-eye circles, redness, blemishes, and imperfections.

Coverage: Full

Finish: Natural

Formulation: Liquid

Skin Type: Normal, Dry, Combination, and Oily

Highlighted Ingredients:
– Wild Pansy: Visibly smooths and moisturizes the complexion.

I can say that it is full coverage because when I try to wipe it off with a makeup wipe, it’s hard to come off from under my eyes, so now I just use an oil cleanser so I don’t ruin my under eyes. It’s such a beautiful finish and I’m so happy that I was lucky enough to receive this.

Lips Of The Day (3/12/20)

Well today’s look didn’t go as planned. I wanted to center my look today around the ColourPop Taurus lippie stix. For some reason my base makeup looked horrible and my eye shadow just wasn’t it. So I decided to wipe it all off and start again. I went with a very neutral look on the eyes.

I’m really loving this lippie stix. Taurus is described as a matte mid-tone yellow brown. I’m glad that I was able to pull this together since I haven’t done makeup in a while.

All in all, this is a wonderful lipstick and I’m happy with the turnout.

Current Favorites|2020

I feel as though doing a monthly favs no longer applies to me since I use basically the same thing everyday. If I do get/use something new, then I’ll just put it in a current favorites or non favorites.

COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser. I’ve really been loving this cleanser for morning and nights. I’m actually about to buy another one because I think it’s just that good. It does cleanse my face really well. It also has tea tree oil in it. I haven’t broken out using this either.

Neutrogena Pore Refining Exfoliating Cleanser. This is my go-to cleanser/scrub. It has Glycolic Acid in it, so this helps with any texture on the skin. I tend to use this after my COSRX cleanser.

A’Pieu Madecassoside Cream. I use this in the mornings. It’s a gel cream and it blends out nicely.

Etude House Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream. I use this at night. It’s like a lotion. I only use a dime size because a little goes a long way. This is too heavy for me during the day. So with these winter months, this has helped my skin alot.

Missha All Around Safe Block Essence SPF 45+++ is my go-to SPF. I plan on purchasing another one soon. It has lasted me quite a while now. It sinks into the skin and it doesn’t leave a white cast which is a plus.

Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water (waterproof). This is a bi-phase cleansing water. You have to shake it up to mix the oil and water together. I have been really liking this. I had the travel size one thinking that I wouldn’t like it, but surprisingly, I do. I use this after a cleanse my face or I use it to cleanse my face first, then tone. I still love my Simple Micellar water, but for right now, this is working too.

Artist Couture Plush Pout Lip Gloss (Uncensored). This is my favorite gloss and nude gloss at that. It goes well with anything. Usually I use a lip liner with it to blend it out.

ColourPop Creme Gel Colour (Stew). This was in collaboration with Karrueche. This is a nice, warm brown gel eyeliner. This has been the easiest liner that I’ve used and now, I can do winged eyeliner, little baby wings though lol.

Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer (4N). I received this for free from Influenster; review coming soon). It blends out nicely and it’s not to bright for me. It actually made my skin look airbrushed/flawless.

Sephora #22 Brush

Sedona Lace EB27

These are the only two brushes that I have been using to do my winged liner. They both have the right amount of stiffness to them and I’m happy that these work so well for me.

So these are my current favorites. All of these products have been really working for me and I will continue to use.

ColourPop, Sephora, YesStyle Haul😁

So I wanted to make this post when I received all of my ColourPop items in the mail. ColourPop released brand new Lux Glosses before Valentine’s Day and also was having a 30% off sale on all lips, so I placed an order. I got the Mr. Flirt kit which came with Slow Motion and Tied Up glosses.

Slow Motion (left) Plummy Terracotta

Tied Up (right) Cool Mauve

I also picked up Taurus lippie stix, which is a matte mid-tone yellow brown.

From Sephora, I purchased The Ordinary 100% Cold-Pressed Moroccan Argan Oil.

I’ve been using this on my face as the last step in my skincare routine. Instead of me using my regular face cream, which can be heavy at times, I decided to use this instead. I’ve really been liking this. It’s not too heavy and it doesn’t have a smell to it.

This oil absorbs nicely into the skin.

Lastly, my purchases from YesStyle.

Innisfree-My Lip Balm (#01 Green Peppermint Tea)

This lip balm comes out green, but applies clear. It also smells like peppermint tea. It has no taste though.

iUNIK-Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum Mini

Can’t wait to try this in the mornings. I’ve heard some good things about this serum. So I decided to get the mini before picking up the full size.

Etude House- Eyelash Curler

I’ve been wanting an eyelash curler for a while now, and this had some decent reviews, so I’m giving this one a go.

That’s all for my haul now. Thanks for stopping by.

Valentine’s Day 2020😍💕

Happy Valentine’s Day! Today , I wanted to do a look different from my look last year. Last year, I believe I did a pink look, but this year, I decided to go with pink and purple. This was not the look I was going for, but in the end, I liked it.

For this look, I used my ABH x Jackie Aina palette. Like I said, not the look I was going for, but in the end, it turned out good. Lately, I’ve been using a tinted moisturizer instead of a foundation so that my skin can breath and I really like how my makeup has been turning out.

Any who, Happy Valentine’s Day😊 .

Recent ColourPop Purchase

Recently, ColourPop had a sale on their website for 25% off a purchase. So after browsing for multiple days, I finally decided that I didn’t want anything, nothing from Sol Beauty, Fourth Ray Beauty or any makeup (eyeshadow palettes or lip products) from ColourPop. Literally the only thing that I wanted was an eyeliner. So like I said, after taking days to decide, I finally purchased the Karrueche x ColourPop Crème Gel Colour eyeliner in the shade Stew.

It’s a brown shade. I do believe that this is waterproof, only because it is hard to come off with just a wipe. I also washed my hair with this on and it did not budge when the water got on my eyes.

I have always struggled with trying to do a wing liner. I’ve always used felt tip liners and I’ve never been able to make it work. Usually I’ll just draw a black line across my eye and call it a day. But since getting this, it has been easier. I actually haven’t used my Fenty eyeliner since getting this. Now all I need is a black one and I’ll be set.

I also chose a brown liner since it’s not too harsh and I think it looks good with daytime looks.

I’m still excited that I got this and as long as I keep practicing, I’ll get better at doing wing liners!

Blogmas Day 12|If I Could Only Keep 10 Makeup Products

Merry Christmas! I hope everyone had a safe Christmas, and if you don’t celebrate Christmas, then I hope that you had a wonderful day. Today, I decided to end blogmas with a post about if I could only keep 10 makeup products, what would they be? It wasn’t that hard until I got to my lipstick portion. So in all honesty, it’ll be 11 things lol.

Fenty Beauty Matte Primer

Neutrogena Tinted Moisturizer

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

YSL All Hours Concealer

Marc Jacobs Mascara

L’Oreal Brow Stylists Eyebrow Pencil

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette

BECCA Sunlit Bronzer

Cover FX Perfector Face Palette Medium Deep (I use this for the blush and highlighters).

MAC Touch Lipstick

Artist Couture Plush Pout Lip Gloss in Uncensored

Top: Artist Couture

Bottom: MAC

So these are the 10 items that I would keep if I could only keep 10, plus one.

I think that I did a pretty well rounded job this blogmas. I don’t know that I could do another year, but we’ll see. I hope that 2020 brings everyone joy and laughter. And if I don’t post before the new year, then have a happy new year as well 😊.

Here I used the shadows Fudge, Caramel, Morocco, and Blazing.

Urban Decay Born to Run Palette

These were my favorite looks that I created this year. Even though I didn’t post some other looks, I’m glad that I have stepped out of my comfort zone with some of these palettes. I’ve been trying to use more color and even black shades. There’s more to come in 2020!
