December Favorites 21′

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Today I wanted to share with you my December favorites. I have really enjoyed using these products over the last month.

Skincare:

Uoma Cleansing Oil
ROC Retinol Capsules
La Roche Posay Hydrating Cleanser, The Inky List Kaolin Clay Mask, Isntree Moisturizer, First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream.

Makeup:

Maybelline Hydrate + Smooth Primer, ELF Camo CC Cream, Milk Makeup Setting Spray, Tower28 Lip Gloss (Almond), YSL The Curler Lengthening and Curling Mascara, ELF Sponge, ELF Setting Powder (Medium/Dark).

Too Faced Cinnamon Swirl Palette

Fragrance:

Atelier Cologne

Nails:

KISS Press On Nails

I can see myself to continue using all these products and repurchasing them, all except the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. This is overpriced for what you get and they just raised the price too. Maybe if Sephora drops the price on black Friday again, I may consider buying it, but that’s the only time.

Thanks for stopping by!

A Collective Haul

I was going to separate this post into two or three, but honestly, I think one post will be enough. Recently, I shopped at Sephora, Ulta, Walmart and Influenster sent me something too. Sephora and Ulta were having sales and then both gave out a 20% off coupon.

Sephora:

I got three of the Atelier Colognes. They were each $21. They smell heavenly too. There are two more that I would like to get, but one keeps selling out and I would like to get them at the same time. But these right here, are great scents to have.

Ulta:

At Ulta, I got the Too Faced Cinnamon Swirl palette. These colors are right up my alley. It’s also supposed to smell like cinnamon rolls which mine kind of does. That doesn’t matter, the colors drew me in and I wanted it. Since I’m back to playing in makeup again, I figured this palette would be a good one to add to my collection.

Walmart:

More KISS nails! I decided to pick up two boxes. Since I’m back home visiting, I left my other ones back at my other home. I figured I’d do my nails for Christmas, something quick and easy.

I also picked up the Uoma Beauty by Sharon C. cleansing oil and the ROC Retinol Correction Capsules, Anti-Aging Night Retinol Face Serum Anti-Wrinkle Treatment. This is my first time trying both of these products. I’ve been wanting to try this more affordable cleansing oil and so far, I do like it. I haven’t used it to take off my makeup though. And I got the ROC Retinol capsules to replace my current retinol that I was using. The one I had stunk real bad and it took forever for it to go away. I heard that the ROC Retinol was fragrance free and since it’s in capsules, it gives you the right amount of product for your whole face. So I can’t wait to try them.

Lastly, Influenster sent me the Creme of Nature Butter Blend & Flaxseed voxbox. I thought I’d add it in.

That’s my collective haul of everything I have gotten over the last couple of weeks. Thank you for stopping by.

FOTD

I’m home for the holidays again this year and I couldn’t be more excited! Last year I came home, but it was for medical reasons, so I really couldn’t celebrate like I wanted, but this year  😆 😆 😆 😆 (my excited face)!!!! I haven’t worn makeup in two years, but being back home, I felt inspired.

I almost forgot how I used to do my face, I was literally speaking it out loud lol. I got sent this e.l.f. cosmetics Camo CC Cream last year and never wore it. I didn’t even know if the shade would match, but it did and I was very impressed. I’ve never had a CC cream before and this felt more like a foundation the way it covered up some dark spots. I really do like this and will continue to use it.

I just wanted to play in makeup again since I’m feeling better and this is really what this post is about. I’m feeling better and cannot wait to start doing my makeup again for fun!

Thanks for stopping by.

Sephora & Ulta Black Friday Sale (’21)

Last month, I decided to shop the Ulta and Sephora black Friday sale. Usually, I don’t shop Ulta online at Ulta, but this year, I decided to go ahead since the deals were online the night before. And at Sephora, I literally only got one thing, a body lotion that was on sale at a ridiculous price!

Ulta:

I got 3 boxes of Kiss press on nails, $5 each! I couldn’t pass that up and I haven’t worn nails let alone press on nails since I was a kid lol.

I also picked up the EVA NYC Therapy Session Hair Mask. Never tried this brand before and I’ve been looking to add a hair mask to my routine. It had good reviews so I wanted to give it a try.

Sephora & Ulta:

From Sephora I picked up the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration. This is supposedly great for face and body. I plan to use this on my body. It’s winter time now and I wanted to try something a little different. It’s usually priced at $44, but I snagged it for $15! Plus it has oat listed as an ingredient and I love anything with oats in it.

Lastly from Ulta, I got the Freeman Hydrating Glacier Water + Pink Peony Gel Cream Mask & the La Roche-Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Cleanser. I’ve never tried this mask or cleanser. I really just wanted to try something new.

So there you have it, my Ulta and Sephora black Friday sale haul. All in all, I’d say I did a great job at not breaking the bank this year. And I hope that I like everything that I purchased, because I have yet to test anything out!

Thanks for stopping by.

Sephora Holiday VIB Sale (’21) & More…

This post should have been up a month ago, but as they say, life happens. I try to shop the Sephora VIB sale when it happens and I usually get skincare products. This year, the only things that I really wanted were the Inky List Kaolin Mask and Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protector Lotion SPF 50+ Sunscreen. That didn’t happen. I was able to get the Inky List mask, but every time I went to get the Shisedio sunscreen, it kept selling out so I just said forget it, I’ll get something else.

I got the Sephora Watermelon cleansing wipes, Sephora Ultra Glow Serum: Glow + Strength Vitamin C Serum (bigger size), The Inky List Kaolin Mask, and Jack Black The Balm Squad Lip Balm Set.

Once it was decided that I was not going to be able to get the Shiseido sunscreen, I decided to go on yesstyle.com and order my favorite and affordable one. I also ordered two moisturizers as well.

My favorite sunscreen has to be this Missha Essence Sun SPF 45 PA+++. I also picked up the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Gel Cream and Purito Centella Unscented Recovery Cream.

Next, Pinchme sent me some skincare and some sample fragrances.

I got sent the Dr. Zenovia Clear Complexion line. 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Cleanser, Aloe Vera Blemish Soothing Moisturizer, and the 5% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Spot Treatment. This line is also sold at Sephora.

Pinchme also sent me this Skylar perfume discovery set. It comes with five sample size perfumes which all smell nice. This too is at Sephora.

This is everything that I got last month. I did shop the Ulta and Sephora black Friday sale, so that should be up soon.

Thanks for stopping by!

A Few Empties

I accumulated these empties over the last few months and decided it was time to throw them away. The little bag I keep them in was getting full.

Cleansers:

Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2, CeraVe Foaming & Hydrating Cleanser, Belif Aqua Bomb Jelly Cleanser

The CeraVe cleansers are two of my favorite cleansers and I will repurchase these over and over again. The Belif cleanser, I didn’t like much. My face felt squeaky clean once it was rinsed off. I’ll always repurchase the Clinique toner, it’s one of my favorites.

Moisturizers:

Sephora Collection Ultra Glow Serum, Aveeno Hand Cream, Frudia Ultra UV Shield Sun Essence 50+, Paula’s Choice Clear Oil Free Moisturizer

I’ve already repurchased the Sephora serum more than once, I even got the bigger size this time. I can do without the Aveeno hand cream. It was was too watery for my liking. I enjoyed the Frudia sun essence. It didn’t leave a white cast and it blended in nicely. I also liked the Paula’s Choice oil free moisturizer. I would repurchase this as well.

Samples:

Shiseido Sun Lotion, Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask, iUNIK Beta Glucan Daily Moisture Cream, Innisfree Youth Enriched Cream with Orchid, Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Moist Cream

These are just some of the samples that I’ve been hoarding lol. I’m trying to use them up. I really enjoyed all these samples that I used except the Innisfree cream. It left my face feeling sticky.

I’m already emptying out more things so hopefully I’ll be back with more things that I’ve used up.

Sephora Holiday VIB Sale (2021)

It’s been a while since I last posted but hopefully I’m back. I usually always post around the Sephora VIB Sale and this year is no different. I do have a few things on my list that are must haves, literally only 2!

First, I tried a sample packet of a sunscreen that I had never tried before, the Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protector Lotion SPF 50+ Sunscreen. This sunscreen is really light-weight, blends in nicely without leaving a white cast and it didn’t have that sunscreen smell to it.

The next thing that I wanted to get was The INKEY List Kaolin Mask. I just need a good, affordable mask that is gentle on the skin. It has Aloe and Centella Asiatica in it which will help with it being gentle and hopefully soothing. I heard this mask has the feel of a moisturizer so that is a plus.

I am also eyeing some lip glosses and a lipstick, but I don’t know if I want to get those just yet. Per usual, I only shop these events for skincare products. I don’t usually have that many things on my list and this year, I only have 2. I just wanted to make this post because one, I always post what I want to get around the sale, and 2, I wanted to get back to blogging. I used to love doing this, so I am hoping this will help me get back into the groove of things.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sephora VIB Sale (Spring 2021)

So tomorrow starts the Sephora VIB sale for me. I usually only buy skincare when the sales come around. I haven’t worn makeup in over a year, so I will not be purchasing any of that. Here’s what’s in my cart.

Sephora Collection Ultra Glow Serum: Glow + Strengthen Vitamin C Serum

https://www.sephora.com/product/ultra-glow-serum-glow-strengthen-vitamin-c-serum-P442594?icid2=products%20grid:p442594

This will be my third bottle of this. I really like this vitamin c serum and it’s very affordable.

Paula’s Choice RESIST Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50

https://www.sephora.com/product/paula-s-choice-resist-youth-extending-daily-hydrating-fluid-spf-50-P469522?icid2=products%20grid:p469522

This is my first time trying the brand. I hear great things about it. I am currently obsessed with sunscreen and I really wan to try this out. It’s suppose to be hydrating and somehow able to mattify at the same time. Hopefully it will be a good sunscreen.

Paula’s Choice CLEAR Oil-Free Moisturizer

https://www.sephora.com/product/paula-s-choice-clear-oil-free-moisturizer-P469517?icid2=products%20grid:p469517

I am about to run out of my current moisturizer and I want to try this one. It’s relatively cheap and like I said, this brand is suppose to be good so hopefully it’ll work for me and my skin.

I do plan on staying up kind of late so I can go ahead and order. With these sales, things sell out fast and I’ve been patiently waiting for this sale to purchase these items lol.

Thanks for stopping by.

Empties/Trash 🗑

It’s been a while since my last post, I believe it was October 2020. But since then, I’ve emptied out some things. And I’ve also been hoarding onto trash as well.

Empties:

Aveeno Calm + Restore Oat Gel Moisturizer

Innisfree Cica Balm with Bija Seed Oil

Vaseline Intensive Care Hand Cream

Jack Black Lip Balm

Pyunkang Yul 1/3 cotton pads

Trash:

China Glaze Nail Polish (Flip Flop Fantasy)

Origins Hello, Calm Face Mask

Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb

Olehenriksen Pore Balance Facial Sauna Scrub

The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Oil

So that’s all my empties and trash. I think it could have been more, but I was throwing stuff away at times. Thanks for stopping by.

Empties🗑

Hello! This will most likely be my last empties post for a while. I’m going home for the holidays and I’m excited! I haven’t been home in 2 years. But any who, here are a few empties that I wanted to showcase before I left.

Vaseline Intensive Care Hand Lotion

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel Moisturizer

Sephora Vitamin C+E Serum

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm (travel size)

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask (sample size)

Milk Makeup Vegan Milk Moisturizer

Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micellar Water

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleansing Wipes

So these were my empties. I know, kinda short. I would repurchase all of these items except the Bioderma Micellar Water and the Milk Makeup Vegan Moisturizer. The Bioderma is just an expensive version of the Garnier and Simple micellar waters that I actually love. The Milk Makeup Vegan Moisturizer is a very thick moisturizer. I used it at night. I actually woke up with a blemish on the side of my forehead after using this. I thought that since I have combination skin it would work. My skin was hydrated when I woke up in the mornings, but I’m not trying to have breakouts every time I use it!

Thanks for stopping by! ✌🏾
