So last week, I woke up and decided that I wanted to go to Ulta. This was a complete spur of the moment. When I got there I went to find the BECCA products because I wanted to see the new Sunlit Bronzers that they put out, I also went to get my free birthday gift! When I got there, I knew exactly which one that I wanted to get. So I got Ipanema Sun (medium auburn brown). I was also able to get the BECCA highlight in Opal as a free deluxe gift with a BECCA purchase.
Ipanema Sun is described as a medium auburn brown that evokes the sun-drench shores of Ipanema and will add a healthy bronze, Golden Goddess glow to the skin. Perfect for medium-dark skin tones.
Both of these products swatched beautifully on my hand, I didn’t even want to touch them. They fill very buttery as well. This being my first ever BECCA purchase I am very happy with it. I do currently own The Estee’ Lauder Bronzed Goddess Powder Bronzer in the shade 04 Deep. I’ve had it for over a year now and still have yet to hit pan, there’s so much product. The Estee’ Lauder bronzer is a little red which I don’t mind, but I wanted something a little more my skin tone, but better. I can’t wait to use this!
This post was supposed to be up two weeks ago, but I’ve been pretty busy lately and when the time comes for me to post this, I just get lazy lol. But all in all, here I am.
So the Sephora VIB sale was 2 weeks ago and it also happened to fall around my birthday.
I decided to pick up the SUNDAY RILEY U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil and Origins Eye Doctor Moisture Care For Skin Around Eyes. And since it was my birthday month, I decided to get the Caudalie skincare set as a free gift from Sephora.
I’ve been using the SUNDAY RILEY U.F.O. oil for the past 3 nights now and I can say that I’ve seen some hormonal acne bumps go down. This oil does have a strong scent to it, but it fades away maybe after 20 minutes on me. I haven’t used anything else yet, because I’m still trying to finish my other eye cream first.
All in all, I’m happy I was able to purchase these items and use the 15% along with them. So until next time…Bye =).
In the months of March and April, I was basically loving the same things, using the same products because they’re just that good lol.
MAC Studio Fix Powder (NC43), Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder, Hard Candy Blush (Bombshell), Revlon lipstick (Mink), Revlon lip gloss (Rosy Future).
For skincare, I’ve been using the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel since it has warmed up. I also have been using the Aveeno clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer for the occasional breakouts.
I’ve also been using the Morphs 35R palette nonstop. These shadows are super blend able and easy to use. Very pigmented and I haven’t experienced any fallout.
Santa Clarita Diet
How To Get Away With Murder
Pretty Little Liars (I actually saw this at Walmart for $14 so I picked up season 6! Yes I have all 6 DVD’s. I’ve never watched this on tv or Netflix lol. I would rather have them physically in my possession, which means I’ll have to wait until next year to see season 7).
So these were my favorites from the months of March and April. Not a ton of things seeing as I don’t wear makeup everyday.
These are some empty products that I’ve been hoarding since sometime last year. It takes me a while to use up one thing, because I try to use as little a possible.
I’ve already repurchased my Vaseline lotion, it’s the only lotion that I use. I will always most likely repurchase my Neutrogena toner. I didn’t repurchase the Simple micellar water because I currently have two more micellar waters from different brands that I want to finish first. My Neutrogena wipes have been repurchased, those are my favs. And of course, I’ll continue to purchase the Jack Black lip balm, it’s very hydrating.
I did not repurchase the Neutrogena cleanser because I wanted to try another cleanser from another brand. Victoria Secret no longer sells the body lotion Endless Sunset. Josie Maran Milk hydrating serum, did not repurchase.
Too Faced hangover primer, Clean and Clear moisturizer, Maybelline primer and Boscia moisturizer expired.
So there you have it, products that I’ve used up or that went bad.
I got my coupon/code in the mail the other day. Since I made VIB last year, this is officially my first time being able to purchase something and get a discount. But honestly, I really don’t need/want anything, except one or two things.
Origins Eye Doctor Moisture Care For Skin Around Eyes
I really need a new eye cream and this sounds good. I’m not looking for something to correct dark circles (I’ve been drinking plenty of water to help with that), but something to help with hydration. My under eye area gets dry at times so I’m hoping this would help.
SUNDAY RILEY U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil
They say when the sale comes around it’s best to try new skincare. So this face oil is something that I would like to try. Everyone raves about SUNDAY RILEY so I think I may purchase this. And now Sephora carries travel sized versions of some of her oils, which is why I definitely want to try it out.
BOSCIA Tsubaki Beauty Oil
Here’s another face oil that I may try. I love the BOSCIA range and this has some good reviews as well.
URBAN DECAY All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray
I’ve been using the travel size since forever, so I think it’s time I purchase the full size.
I already have the nude one, so now I want the black one. The nude one gets clean, but still looks dirty, so that is why I would like to get the black one.
All in all, I know for certain that I’m getting the Origins eye cream, everything else is debatable. If you plan on shopping next week for the sale, what are you getting?
Ever since I got this palette, I can’t seem to put it down. It’s literally the only palette I’ve been using this month.
I used MAC fix+ to intensify the lid color.
I’m really impressed by the shadows and how well they blend together.
I was so caught up in the NCAA game last night that I forgot to post this. I created a “bronzy summer” look. I honestly don’t know what else to call it.
I really love this look and the palette. These shadows were easy to blend, I didn’t even have any fall-out. I’m also wearing the Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit Lipstick in Give Me Mocha. This is truly a matte lipstick and very budge proof.
So all in all, this is a very good palette and I can’t wait to create more looks with it!
