EOTD (8/17/17)

Today’s look is very simple. As I stated yesterday, I purchased the Huda Beauty lashes in Giselle #1 from Sephora. So today I decided to give them a try.

As you can see, I struggled with the liner.

All in all, I’m impressed with these lashes and myself. It was weird at first wearing them and walking out the house in them. These are light weight. Also, that Duo lash glue with the brush is the best version of Duo that I’ve used! I feel as though I didn’t have to wait for the lashes to get tacky and once they were on, they stuck! I think I will give these lashes another go tomorrow!

Sephora Goodies

I recently placed an order to Sephora. I picked up three items. I decided to get some lashes this go round.

So I picked up the Huda Beauty lashes in Giselle #1, Duo Brush On Adhesive (white), and Tarte Tarteist Pro Little Lash Helper Lash Applicator. I also got another deluxe sample of the Fresh Vitamin Nectar Moisture Glow Face Cream.

I’ve recently become a contact lens wearer and I’m trying all different kinds of looks that were a little harder for me when I wore glasses. I still wear glasses but only at night. Like I’ve stated before, I like Huda Beauty’s products, so I wanted to try her lashes. I also figured that getting some lash applicators would help with the process.

I have run out of my first sample of the Fresh moisturizer, so I wanted to get another. After this, I’ll most likely purchase the full size version. It’s really good and I do feel as though my skin is glowing 24/7. I wear it in the morning and at night.

So tomorrow will be my first real attempt at applying lashes, so we shall see how it goes!!!

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara First Impression/Mini Review

Last December, I got the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara in a sample bag from Sephora. I finally decided to give it a try because I’ve never tried a higher end brand mascara before. I usually stick with Maybelline and L’Oréal mascaras.

Here are my lashes:

Naturally, my lashes are very short, but this mascara has really given them some length.

As you can see, the brush is one of those fat brushes. I usually don’t like using that kind of brush. This is a wet formula and it did transfer a little to my lid. I let the first coat dry a little, then apply a second coat. This formula doesn’t clump up. I do plan on buying the full size from Ulta because I’m really impressed by how this worked!

Empties #3

Here, I have a few empties that I’ve been collecting, mostly skincare items.

The only things that I’ve repurchased were the Neutrogena toner (I go through bottles of these) and the Caudalie moisturizer. The only thing that I would not repurchase would be the Clinique cleanser. I’m currently using Garnier SkinActive face wash and to me, they are the same thing. Plus the Clinique was $14 and the Garnier is $8 for more product.

I’ve repurchased everything except the Cantu Grow Strong treatment. The tub is still half full. This did nothing for my hair except make it dry. I already have dry hair and when humidity comes into play, I need something that will hold up and this did nothing for me.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Sephora Goodies 💋

Monday, I placed and order to Sephora and it came in yesterday. I only purchased two things and got a deluxe sample of face cream.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick: Hawkwind

Tweezerman x HUDA BEAUTY Mini Slant Tweezer

FRESH: Vitamin Nectar Moisture Glow Face Cream deluxe sample

I’ve been a huge fan of Kat Von D’s since she was on Miami Ink and LA Ink! It’s my goal to one day get tattooed by her but that’s neither here nor there lol. This is my first purchase from this line and everything that I’ve heard is true. This formula has got to be THE best formula for liquid lipsticks! It dries down matte and doesn’t come off when I eat or drink. I decided to get the shade Hawkwind (Nude Sienna) because I was trying to get something a little different then browns. I did take this off yesterday with a wipe and it barley budged, so today I used my Clinique Take The Day Away Cleansing Balm first, then used a wipe and that seemed to work! I will be picking up another shade because I’m in love. Here’s a picture of what Hawkwind looks like on me.

Next I got the Tweezerman x HUDA BEAUTY mini tweezers. I can only justify this purchase as me being a fan of HUDA BEAUTY. I may pick up a backup because I honestly do not want to open these.

Lastly, I chose to get the FRESH face cream. This is new to their line so I wanted to try this and see if I would like it. I do want to try their Rose Deep Hydration Face Cream first though.

Hawkwind will definitely be in my favs this month, it’s such a lovely color!!!

FOTD (7/30/17)

Today was pretty much a chill day for me. This past weekend, I purchased the Maybelline Dream BB Cream in Medium/Deep. I’ve used this before and decided to go back to it.

I used Raw Sienna and Burnt Orange all over the lid and under my eye. I also used Realgar in the center mixed with Burnt Orange and Raw Sienna under my eye.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale started about 2 weeks ago and the only thing that I wanted to purchase was from Sigma Beauty. They had 2 brush bundles and I decided to pick up the Innovation Duo. In this bundle, you get the Spa Express Brush Cleansing Mat, 3DHD Kabuki Foundation Brush and a bonus sample of their SigMagic Brush shampoo.

I really love how the brush came packaged. The brush is really soft. Since it is cut the way that it is, I can apply my foundation and turn it over and blend out my concealer. Using the mat was really easy as well. Having this has really cut my cleansing process down. I felt like my brushes got cleaner faster. I haven’t used the sample brush cleaner yet. All in all, this was a great purchase and much needed as well.

L’Oréal Hydra Genius Daily Liquid Care (Moisturizer)

At the beginning of July, I decided to purchase the L’Oréal Hydra Genius moisturizer for Normal/Oily Skin since I finished my Clinique one. I purchased mine from Walmart because it is a little cheaper.

Formulated to offer the most lightweight hydration, these moisturizers are like a “boost” of water for your skin, delivering instant hydration that lasts 72 hours. 72HR Intense and Continuous Hydration
Lightweight Liquid Care Formula
Mattified, Fresh, Healthy-Looking Skin

Ingredients: Aqua/Water, Glycerin, Alcohol Denat., Dimethicone, Isononyl Isononanoate, Silanetriol, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Dimethiconol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Sodium Hyaluronate, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Hyaluronic Acid, Phyllostachys Bambusoides Extract, Caprylyl Glycol, Tetrasodium Edta, Citric Acid, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Xanthan Gum, Panthenol, Menthoxypropanediol, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Butylene Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Tocopherol, Potassium Sorbate, Sorbic Acid, Methylparaben, Sodium Benzoate, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin, Ci 42090/Blue 1, Linalool, Limonene, Parfum/Fragrance, F.I.L. #B192827/1

First thing, I really wanted to like this product but I honestly couldn’t take it anymore! As soon as I put this moisturizer on my face, immediately the fragrance hit me. Even though it’s WAAAAAY down on the list, it’s very potent. My sinuses started to act up and I was sneezing and coughing.

Secondly, this stuff broke me out something awful. Now I don’t have sensitive skin but my cheek and chin have been breaking out and I just knew then that I had to stop using this.

On the plus side, this is a very hydrating gel formula and I did feel that my t-zone was mattified for a few hours. It worked well with my makeup too. I usually don’t dislike many products but that fragrance and the fact that I broke out like crazy made me stop using this and now it’s in a drawer for anther day!!

Mini Haul 🛍️

While I was on vacation, I decided to go to the mall and of course, I had to go to the MAC counter in Macy’s and Sephora in JC Penny.

Sometime last month, I contacted MAC and asked if Cork lip liner would be back in stock, and they told me it was discontinued. So when I saw it at the MAC counter, I had to purchase it. I also picked up another brow pencil in Spiked.

Sephora (JC Penny)

I went to Sephora looking for Tatcha, but they didn’t carry it. Luckily I was able to get this. I’ve been using the travel sized version of this and I really am enjoying it. It keeps my combination skin hydrated and hasn’t broken me out like another product that I will mention in another post! Caudalie is becoming one of my favorite brands.

Bath & Body Works

I never have hand sanitizer on me, so when I asked my cousin where she got hers, she said Bath & Body Works. When I went in the store, they were having a buy 6 for $5 so I picked up the 6. One is in my bag and I gave another one to my sister. I also picked up a hand cream in Vanilla Buttercream for $4. I think I’m going to go back and get another hand cream, because they feel so buttery and keeps my hands soft.

All in all, I always enjoy going out of town and shopping. I always manage to hit up the MAC counter and Sephora because even though I may not always find what I’m looking for, I usually always find what I’m looking for lol.
